Gwenllian’s story is not just one of professional success but of living life to the fullest, embracing challenges, fostering community and finding joy in every adventure, both within and beyond the business world.
Gwenllian’s career began in the Local Authority then progressing to the Training and Enterprise Council, ELWa, Menter a Busnes, Menter Môn, Bangor University, Anglesey County Council and most recently at
M-Sparc.
She has held a number of roles within these organisations but on joining the Training and Enterprise Council she found her niche for working with businesses, supporting them through change, growth and people development.
Career Highlights: Gwenllian discovered a passion for working with businesses, supporting them through change and growth whilst they attended the programmes at Bangor University. She led the prestigious LEAD Wales, ION Leadership and 20Twenty Business Growth teams at Bangor University as Senior Programme Manager where she developed, grew and delivered the extremely popular and effective programmes for over 10 years.
Transitioning from the University to re-join the public sector, Gwenllian embraced the role of Visitor Economy Manager for Anglesey County Council, where she successfully managed the teams that were responsible for Tourism, Maritime and Countryside of the Island.
Now, at M-Sparc, Gwenllian brings her wealth of experience to the role of Innovation and Commercialisation Co-ordinator, supporting businesses both at the Science Park and further afield in the region.
Personal Interests: Beyond her professional pursuits, Gwenllian has a huge zest for life. She thrives on physical and mental challenges, having completed 3 Ultra Challenges and the Breast Cancer moonwalk a few 10ks, a half marathon and a Combat Soldier event. She thrives on cold water swimming and meets with a group of like-minded women every weekend to enjoy the freedom, the enjoyment and pure exhilaration that cold water swimming brings them.
As a founder member of Adlais, a local mixed-voice choir, Gwenllian finds immense pride in the choir’s achievements. Their harmonious sounds echo the camaraderie and shared passion for music that Gwenllian enjoys!
